Happy Birthday Aubs!

Funny Stuff

So, today we went and got some birthday pictures made of the girls. I just took the cheap route, with JC Penny. It is always so challenging to get a good picutre of them. I really hope to get my friend to photograph them before we leave, maybe in the Spring. Anyway, we got a couple of good ones. Carolina turned out to be the harder one, because almost all of hers were fake smiles. So, then she wanted sausage and eggs, so we headed to Cracker Barrell. Then we went to Classroom Corner and got a few "learning" things. I got her some lined paper to help in practicing her writing and some dot-to-dot books, she loves!  On the way home you could see the sky forever and the clouds were so interesting against a bright blue. I told Lina to look how big God must be to such a huge sky. She said , yes, He must be that big, then she said "those clouds are so rowdy!" I'm not sure where she came up with that one.
When we got home there was a package from Oriental Trading. It included some sticker scenes of Bible stories. We were working on Noah's stickers and I asked her if she remembered what his son's names were (we just studied that last week.) She thinks a minute and says "Turkey". I laughed outloud, if you don't remember his son's name is Ham, Shem and Japheth. She confused the Ham and turkey.

Painting Pumpkins

Here are the girls painting some pumpkins. Lina has some curly hair because we braided it while it was wet, she was very proud of it. Cass has had a fever off and on for a couple of days? Not sure why, nothing else seems wrong. We got out of the house today and hit Hobby Lobby and Cici's. They both cleaned their plates and ate an entire dessert each.

See-Saw

When Nana was up last week she went ahead and gave Cassidy her birthday present early from her and Pops. It was a super fun see-saw!

Tea Party

This past Sunday was Lina's birthday Tea Party! Since my friend Dawn already posted some pictures, I thought I better get to posting about it. I've been a tired chic after our big weekend. Nana flew in for a long weekend and helped tremendously. We had a great time shopping and party planning. We made cupcakes, thumbprint cookies and cheese bites(the little ones didn't care for these fyi, but that's just more for Mommy, I could eat them all). I was able to use several pieces of my dishes I got for our wedding. The pink and purple hydrangeas went great. We made lots of tissue paper flowers, and even used a pink table cloth to make some new "curtains". Lina loved it all, as we decorated, she'd say, "this is so cute, it's going to be the best party." We had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came, that's what makes it fun!
